A CNBC story, "These bachelor’s degrees from public colleges pay more than $100,000," cites a study based on data from the U.S. Department of Education that looks at the bachelor’s degrees from public universities that pay an annual salary of at least $100,000 three years after completion and have a 100% employment rate. The story lists New Mexico Tech’s bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering as drawing a median salary of $103,706.00 after three years.
